The way indie music is seen as 'cool' and indie films are seen as 'embracing the craft without selling out' while indie books are seen as 'didn't get trad published' gives me feelings. Really crunchy feelings. The snobbery makes zero sense and instantly tells me someone isn't worth listening to.

What's especially crazy to me in this sentiment (which I also had pre bluesky) is how much every other artistic field lauds indies. Indie filmmaking? Good. Indie music? Good. Indie books? Suddenly people draw a line, even though all the reasons Indie is good everywhere else *still apply*.

The 40th anniversary Zelda direct went pretty much exactly how I thought it would. Little sad they didn't show any footage of the movie but the Ocarina of Time remake looks beautiful!

I've never made D&D supplement material before but I have always wanted to and I've always made homebrew for the campaigns I've run. This has been challenging but really rewarding to make, can't wait to have something to share!

Hey, remember when the Trump admin cut lifesaving medical research, consumer protections and international aid in the name of government efficiency? Well they just launched a government website for racist arcade games. These are the priorities.

I really appreciate how My Cousin Vinny understands that the hottest thing you can do is rage bait your partner until they start rambling about the hyperfixations they’re experts on

It's a little disheartening to miss deadlines and release windows even if only imposed by myself. Can't tell if this means I'm slow at making things or really bad at estimating how long it will take me to make things. Maybe it's a secret third thing!

My players finally made it to the first dungeon, my deep sea temple full of evil fish men, hungry giant octopi, massive sharks, and lots of other surprises! They have 24 hours of water breathing to clear the dungeon, retrieve the sacred water that was stolen and return home or be turned into fish.

So it seems on days where I'm having gut issues that I end up with broken sleep and weird/bad dreams. Hundreds of years ago people thought demons gave you nightmares, turns out it was prokaryotes.
