Health insurance executives are just as deserving of the dishonorable moniker "merchants of death" as major arms manufacturers.

The way indie music is seen as 'cool' and indie films are seen as 'embracing the craft without selling out' while indie books are seen as 'didn't get trad published' gives me feelings. Really crunchy feelings. The snobbery makes zero sense and instantly tells me someone isn't worth listening to.
What's especially crazy to me in this sentiment (which I also had pre bluesky) is how much every other artistic field lauds indies. Indie filmmaking? Good. Indie music? Good. Indie books? Suddenly people draw a line, even though all the reasons Indie is good everywhere else *still apply*.
I lost my shit when I heard Ghidorah in the trailer!
New poster for ‘GODZILLA MINUS ZERO’. In theaters on November 6.
The 40th anniversary Zelda direct went pretty much exactly how I thought it would. Little sad they didn't show any footage of the movie but the Ocarina of Time remake looks beautiful!
Does anyone actually want to hear advice from authors about writing?
I've never made D&D supplement material before but I have always wanted to and I've always made homebrew for the campaigns I've run. This has been challenging but really rewarding to make, can't wait to have something to share!
Shit like this is precisely why we need to invest in more scientific education in this country, we are the most scientifically illiterate people on the planet and it's embarrassing.
In tears man the US being the ONLY State to have outright voted against adopting the equal earth map at the UN, a map that is literally more scientifically accurate Empire of evil for evil’s sake
UN to vote on adopting new world map that shows Africa’s true scale Togo-sponsored resolution calls to phase out Mercator projection, which depicts continent as similar size to Greenland, in favour of Equal Earth Map www.theguardian.com/world/2026/s...
Hey, remember when the Trump admin cut lifesaving medical research, consumer protections and international aid in the name of government efficiency? Well they just launched a government website for racist arcade games. These are the priorities.
I really appreciate how My Cousin Vinny understands that the hottest thing you can do is rage bait your partner until they start rambling about the hyperfixations they’re experts on
You know I don't want to be an activist right? I don't want to do any of this. I want to finish my ttrpg. I want to stream final fantasy. I want to write. I want to do so much more than being exhausted from activism. But here we are.
People who use AI to pretend to be artists, musicians, and authors need to get shoved in a locker.
It's a little disheartening to miss deadlines and release windows even if only imposed by myself. Can't tell if this means I'm slow at making things or really bad at estimating how long it will take me to make things. Maybe it's a secret third thing!
New project started today; organizing all the projects I'm working on or need to start working on lol
My players finally made it to the first dungeon, my deep sea temple full of evil fish men, hungry giant octopi, massive sharks, and lots of other surprises! They have 24 hours of water breathing to clear the dungeon, retrieve the sacred water that was stolen and return home or be turned into fish.

So it seems on days where I'm having gut issues that I end up with broken sleep and weird/bad dreams. Hundreds of years ago people thought demons gave you nightmares, turns out it was prokaryotes.
