You know what’s terrifying? Seeing a commercial for a medicine that you take and it’s one of THOSE COMMERCIALS.
I think I just passed a milestone as an artist. Was contacted about a map by a publisher I had worked with once for a new map. Gave my quote for English rights. They came back saying they needed world rights, that’s the company policy. So I gave a new quote. Reasonable one. /1
This is a much older map I made for a homebrew D&D game I was running. I was experimenting with trying a more topographical look. It's a really green world.
Today got all the land details for the map drawn in. Tomorrow will be the border, icons, and animals. Should be done with this map this week.

In the multiverse, there’s an infinite number of realities. I imagine that there is at least one reality in which every singular person is the chosen one and they have to save their reality.

Right now, outside it’s like being in the eye of a tornado or hurricane. Both of which I have experienced. It’s all green light over cast electrical smell But there wasn’t a heavy big storm it was just rain. Not even thinder and lightening

This October, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚-𝘽𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙡 by Christopher Buehlman @buehlmeister.bsky.social comes out. The third book in this world, and a follow up to 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙛. I got illustrate the map for the novel. One of my favorites. Also in this world and a prequel is 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨' 𝙒𝙖𝙧.

Just watched Lee Cronin’s The Mummy and I took as a cautionary tale against having children because they are so easily possessed.
This really just made my day. I love illustrating maps for novels. Fantasy was always a place for me to escape to as child. So many great memories around reading and sharing novels with my best friend, Mark. So it’s an honor to be able to help authors bring their worlds to life.
Cherae@clclarkwrites.com · 3w agoafter yesterday’s many shenanigans (incl. a 14k trail race), I plan on living on the couch today and tearing through The Thrice-Bound Fool. Might go wild and switch it up with John Gwynne’s upcoming Wolves of War if I want to change gears.

Nothing gets you moving that being told you are a Creative Directors favorite freelancer. Most of my maps are printed black and white, but I do them in color, just incase they want to use them for something else, or for promotional material.
One thing about Bluesky I'm not fond of. Being able to repost replies in a thread. My feed is filled with such, and few often make sense, because they are out of context of the original thread. Which requires you go spend time going back and trying to figure out what's actually being said.
I was having weird issues with my computer for a week, across several unrelated apps. Figured it was time for a new computer. Spent the day setting it up. Go to install the drivers for my Cintiq. They no longer support mine. Have to buy a new one. Here’s some art. Enjoy.
I started the Dungeon Crawler Carl series on April 10th, and I’ve read all 8 books as of a week ago. Really enjoyed them. Unrelated art.
