#Ponteland Grade II Listed Rebellion House, High Callerton near Ponteland, Northumberland, photographed on this day 4th August 2000. C16, altered early C17. The name comes from the story that Oliver Cromwell took refuge in the cottage, then a carter's dwelling during fighting in the area.
