The Wingfield hudd is one of just two in East Anglia. There's another at Walpole St Peter in Norfolk. #History #HistoryMatters

These prehistoric baby bottles in the shape of little creatures were found were found in Bronze and Iron Age graves in Vösendorf (Austria). Actually, a study was conducted on these bottles around 2019 and they found traces of ruminant milk!
Not to mention three beautiful Bs!

On this day in 1922, Alexander Graham Bell died in Beinn Bhreagh, Nova Scotia. Credited with patenting the first practical telephone, he also assisted in the design of Canada's first aircraft, the Silver Dart. Several places in Canada are named for him.

This Roman ring, wishing good life to Senicianus, was found in Silchester. It’s now on display in The Vyne. Its fame derives from the archaeologist Mortimer Wheeler consulting Tolkien on it in the ‘20s. Tolkien was inspired by the idea of a lost cursed ring & the rest is literary history. 🕰️C4thAD

Oh my god. The BBC is reporting Glen Hansard has died in a motorcycle crash. He was just 56 years old. He was lead singer of the band The Frames, and won an Oscar for best song "Falling Slowly" from the film, "Once" in which he starred alongside Marketa Irglova. Such a tragic loss.

Good news: French police arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of the Celtic Princess’ 2,500-year-old Gold Torque from the Musée du Pays Châtillonnais. This quick arrest increases the chance that the Torque has not been melted down yet.
