It’s becoming an increasingly unavoidable conclusion that a portion of mostly establishment Democrat electeds/pundits/consultants don’t like Democratic voters much and would much prefer to have Republican voters instead, and view their voters’ insistence on being represented as an annoying betrayal.
This is absolutely true, but I fear the party apparatus genuinely doesn’t give a shit because they care about tech bro cash (and approval) more than they care about winning elections.
Again, Democrats need to wake the hell up on Data Centers because it's a massive sleeper issue
“The party machine tends to resist any innovation. The revolutionary minority finds itself isolated, confronted by a leadership, frightened and anguished at the idea it could be swept away in a whirlwind whose nature, strength and direction are beyond its imagining.” – Frantz Fanon

Wholesome Memes embracing jokes about wanting to die definitely feels like a sign of the times.
As a centrist, I think Donald Trump is bad, but the political and economic conditions that enabled him to become president twice are good
The largest nurse and healthcare professional strike in Massachusetts history is underway in Boston this morning.
I unfollowed a few men who were being assholes to ppl who had misgivings about Platner and I wonder what they’re saying about it now but not enough to check tbh
Everyone pointing out that someone is “only a citizen because of birthright” feels super icky. Most Americans are birthright citizens, so singling out/othering POC to make a political point doesn’t seem helpful.
I fucking love baseball but unfortunately we will definitely have to send most players to the reeducation camps after the revolution.
MLB players: Christ the King will return to cleanse the world of communism and homosexuals. NBA players: The Moon landing was faked because they didn't want us to learn that the Earth is flat. NHL players: [babbling in heavily concussed Finnish] NFL players: WTF ARE SQUIRLES EVEN DOING LMAOOOOOO
Me, talking about the influencer “neoartist” couple who scaled the Empire State Building:
For the final time, Ukrainians (or anyone brutalized by the Russians) are trying to tell you that you should more critically approach Russian cultural works given the society and context that produced them because most of you don't do this and treat them as if they exist in an apolitical vacuum
There's a million other galling things about this rogue Supreme Court, but it's mind blowing to me that the Constitution has provided a clear way to change it through the amendment process, but these six assholes think they can just do it themselves unilaterally.
Healthcare has to be one of the 2 most important planks to run on in 2028. It has to be Improved Medicare For All or bust. Single payer that includes vision, dental, and mental health for ALL. Go to war with the insurance companies. Tie healthcare to everything because it is tied to everything.
This piece is extremely well written, but what’s so important about it imo is the stark moral clarity, in a time when that’s in such short supply.
my oh my This essay/review is… …stunning (ie, may leave you stunned) via the craft with which it’s Virgil walks you — firmly but w/ the care of one who’s felt the blow — through that tall grass where you’ve hidden those political suspicions which are, by their nature & by yours, un-entertain-able.
Everyone else walks out at midnight. I guess we're on strike.
Michel Gondry didn't spend two months rearranging legos for the White Stripes' "Fell in Love With a Girl" video so you could tell me that AI is "inevitable."
David Twohy didn't bleach the negative of PITCH BLACK (2000) in order to get the washed-out look of the alien planet without CG so you could tell me that AI is "inevitable"
They are beasts as we are beasts. Men are animals that speak.
To honor Pride Trump is keeping the "strait" closed and I think that is beautiful ❤️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
I usually try to explain it like this: picture Jimmy Dore as Peter Taaffe. Now imagine they're Ojibwe. Doesn't look so much like the Bengal famine of 1943 was caused by teenagers biting rich people now, does it?
I thought Magic Man said, "Come on, homegirl" instead of "Come on home, girl" until my early 20s.
What songs did y'all misinterpret as kids
