Automation and human-replacing innovation is a direct threat to a society where humans are a *resource* for companies to use, and paid employment declaimed as the reason for humans existing. The only reasonable response to that threat is Basic Income, and unlearning the work=worth gaslighting.
Universal Movement For America

Basic Income. Education. Healthcare. The foundations for a better future.
This. *WHY* do you think everyone needs to be engaged in paid employment? What about paid employment leads you to believe that it's the only appropriate primary activity for human beings over the age of, say 16?
ALL I ask is that people who reject Universal Basic Income out of hand because “People need to work” interrogate WHY they believe this instead of assuming it as a starting point.
A floor to stand on. A springboard to rise from. That's basic income.
Paying out of pocket for medical care in a foreign country- still a bill, even if it is much much MUCH cheaper than the USA.
Hey all. The medical appointment was more $$$ than expected today. If people want to pitch in via my ko-fi, please do: ko-fi.com/eleritmlh
Guaranteed Basic Income is proving to be a workforce investment, not just a safety net. In Howard County, families used additional income to stay current on rent, reduce debt, pursue education, strengthen employment prospects, and invest in their children's success.
Because Democratic Socialism is the only ideology actually *addressing* any of these issues. Hot take: DemSoc will be better when Sanders isn't the only major mouthpiece of the party.
👀 Nathan Robinson takes full advantage of a chance to explain to Katie Pavlich why Democratic Socialism is on the rise 🔥
It's never been about "immigration", it's about eradicating brown people from the population.
This has been a problem from the beginning. Dismantle ICE… Native Americans are U.S. citizens. Reports of ICE questioning and detaining Native Americans, including challenges to tribal IDs, should concern every American. Don’t tell me this is only about immigration status anymore.
What actually counts as basic income? The most comprehensive definition — 7 tenets: universal, unconditional, uniform, individual, cash-based, periodic, sufficient. Read it here → basicincomeaction.org/about?tab=de...

ICE is nothing more or less than an extrajudicial armed paramilitary force acting with impunity on US soil. If the Democrats don't stand firm on a platform of abolishment, investigation and accountability, then they have ceded power to the regime permanently.
TAX the wealth hoarders- individuals, corporations *and* religious institutions, then use the money to build UNIVERSAL foundations. Basic Income, Health Care and Education to start.
ANY "LIBERAL" CANDIDATE FOR ANY OFFICE THAT ISN'T STANDING UP FOR TRANS RIGHTS IS JUST GOP LITE.
Universality is a fundamental ethical standard. Means testing & asset limits for the elderly and disabled just so they can access needed care and supports is a failure of our society.
Disabled people deserve housing, healthcare, food and assistance. They deserve a living wage. They shouldn’t be forced to beg for scraps, barred from having assets or forced to re-justify their disability over and over. When basic needs are denied, people die. It’s passive eugenics.
Some guy a few thousand years ago stuck a fence in dirt and said "mine." No receipt. Every rent check since is interest on that bluff. UBI's not a handout. It's you finally getting cut in on what's still being denied you
It's only taken @acog.org 30+ YEARS to figure out that doulas should be an integral, essential part of the labor and birth team. www.acog.org/news/news-re...

As the Colville Tribes continue to battle a wildfire that has displaced almost 1,000 people, Republican CD 4 candidate Jerrod Sessler is spreading racist lies and even suggested that the tribes benefit from the disaster.
We tend to think of “charitable giving” as unambiguously good because we equate “charities” with organizations that help the poor and equate “giving” with generosity. But both assumptions are wrong.
"Charitable Giving" Isn't What You Think
And the gusher of it is just beginning

UPDATE: America's gun psychopathy continues: *321* mass shootings so far in 2026. 💔😡💔 #GunsDontMakeUsSafer The latest, with 3 people killed and at least 4 wounded — including a 2-year-old child — in Seattle, Wash.: www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
I just heard something that hit home. ICE isn't law enforcement. It's a government agency hiring criminals to commit crimes against innocent Americans.
Y'all, coerced consent isn't actual consent, especially in labor and birth.
around 350,000 Haitians will officially lose their Temporary Protected Status today, as part of the Trump admin's ethnic cleansing operations this is v clearly illegal and immoral I wrote about the Supreme Court decision that's allowing it to happen anyway ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/mulli...
The Republican Justices Are Pretending They’ve Never Heard Donald Trump Speak
No comment about “shithole countries” is too racist for this Supreme Court to decide that it might be legally significant.

TPS for Haitians officially expires tomorrow. ICE is planning big operations, with Springfield, Ohio among the targets www.cbsnews.com/news/ice-hai...
The GFM goal has shifted to getting non-emergency medical care here in Seoul (I'm fine, it's that you can access medical screenings here MUCH cheaper than the USA) gofund.me/9940f0213

THISSSSSS. Unless you are supporting the elderly, disabled and ill to LIVE first, then assisted death is unethical.
Give people the support they need to live a dignified life, and they won’t feel pressured to access Medical Assistance in Dying. Make sure they’re getting the medical care they need. Ensure they’re housed & fed. If you don’t offer the care needed to live, assisted dying becomes coercive:
ICE and CBP agents have now committed at least five murders that we know of, and not a single person has been held accountable for them. In fact the murderers are being shielded. This is simple, obvious proof that the violence and murder is intentional.
The federal poverty line for a single person each month is so far below the *actual* line of "can pay for food and shelter" each month, it's disgusting. Nothing we do for UBI should be based on how the government assesses poverty *now*
People often ask how much UBI should pay. Turns out there’s no universal agreement The common features: universal, unconditional, individual, paid regularly in *cash. Many U.S. proposals land near the federal poverty guideline for one adult, about $1,330/month.
ICE is killing people because they *can*
Until the regime and it's supporters face ACTIONABLE, IMPACTFUL consequences, there will be NO moving forward.
Being undocumented is not grounds for murder. Being a minority is not grounds for murder. Fleeing a scene is not grounds for murder. Committing a crime is not grounds for murder. There’s a judicial system & due process for everyone. When ICE kill people, it’s an extrajudicial execution.
The reason why ICE agents continue to shoot people is because nothing ever happens to them when they do. They essentially have been granted full immunity for whatever they choose to do to people by a lawless regime of thugs.
