I'm just gonna say: it somewhat baffles me that people who are understandably skeptical of opaque LLMs as legitimate sources of information will suddenly go full on "the computer KNOWS" when they are using opaque tools to "detect" AI. The computer does not know.

my manager is hiring for a tech support role and said she can tell how many submitted resumes are AI generated not just by the verbiage--but because a lot of the AI software embeds its metadata into the resume. which the users never check 😭

It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us.
