A silly billy, music lover, appreciator of the absurd, mother, feminist, archivist, unionist, poaster.

Had to go to my old gp practice to get a repeat referral to a specialist I’ve seen for years. And I should roll the record over to my new gp but it feels like a bridge too far in the storm of other crap. Anyway, the gp was lovely and bulk billed the three mins I was in there.

I run an event for queer disabled people in a pub on a massive main street. I’ve had one person enquire several times as to whether we provide masks. I have not responded because I’ll just end up here. For the record, I’m on what is clinically known as moderate immunosuppression. I know my risk

hilarious and insane article. full of the sorts of people you meet all the time in left activism, who combine neuroticism and narcissism to bring down any institution they're allowed into.

I understand the urge to point out the first fleet was multicultural or refugees are kicking world cup goals or any other such gotchas but one of the perks of fascism is never having to give the slightest shit about inconsistency or incoherence

New fear unlocked. 😱 The life of an Archivist is wild. One minute you're merrily scanning through a folder of old photographs, the next you've uncovered something like this and it feels you're starring in the pre-title sequence of a 70s horror movie.

A black and white Archive photograph of a terrifying shape rising above a group of people who are looking towards the camera. It is a bonfire but looks like something more frightening.

An obsessive freak followed me on my Twitter account, presumably to screenshot me interacting with some mutuals he detests. I’ve blocked him but dude, for the love of God, seek help and get a better hobby.

The booing during the Welcome to Country at the Sydney dawn service makes me feel sick, how these white men (and it’s largely white men) can Lest We Forget soldiers AND be so ignorant and obnoxious about the actual history of this colony is beyond me. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-04...

Tears, hymns and prayer as thousands gather at Anzac services in Sydney

Among the crowd, some held wreaths adorned with the words "Lest We Forget" while others pinned sprigs of rosemary and rows of medals to their shirts.
