Some recent posts about recipes has reminded me of the time I spent in the stacks of the Central Library in LA while in culinary school. Old cookbooks are the best, especially the ones put out by church ladies from 120 years ago.
Most of the land in most farm counties is owned by 1-5 families. They run the place like their own personal kingdoms. There is SO much resentment and straight-up fury about this in rural areas. The fact that no political party's even really trying to speak to it is wild.
Most rural areas have a ruling class. And they want cheap unfree workers & to pass their fiefdoms on tax-free forever. It ain't rocket science. The fact that we're scared to talk about THAT, ime, is what's costing us a lot of rural voters!
Rent pricing software was made obsolete as soon as LLMs came on the scene. Just plug in all the details of the rental unit and an LLM will do the research for you.

He first whines that the project is the result of a backroom deal, that they should bring back the original 4 story project (that isn't financially feasible to build) and that people deserve to vote on it.
I would add dual extruder 3d printing that concrete with 3d printed insulation.

It is not necessarily true that they could've left. Internal migration rates haven't been this low pretty much ever even during the Great Depression which was the historic low.

For this person, job retraining programs are actively anti-useful because they encourage brain drain
