No. This is false. The crew ignored two NOTAMs and tried to visual on a moonless night. GPS jamming (which occurs regularly and was one of the NOTAMs) did not actively corkscrew them into the mountain. I’ve reposted other, more accurate explanations of this incident.
Maybe black bars over all their eyes to give it a really seedy vibe. Make my book look like something sold in a plain brown wrapper

The idea that there is a standard for accessibility that requires close stop spacing is one that was made up to oppose stop consolidation. Nobody ever analyzes transit based on this metric outside of this discussion. You would come to bizarre conclusions if you tried to quantify it, since transit…
When this shit started, there was a scramble to appease it, to be seen taking it seriously. But there was never scientific evidence for it. Never any reason to treat it as anything more than a conspiracy theory. It’s shameful that so many publications didn’t see the clear disinformation campaign.
If they can send even a single scientist to prison over something that plainly did not happen, they can imprison anyone for anything at any time for any reason. Those are the stakes. You don’t hear that from legacy publications like NYT.
Republicans like Rand Paul are lying to the public and wielding those lies like a wrecking ball, targeting academia and public health. He and the administration want to imprison scientists over what is very clearly a conspiracy theory. It’s the most incredible and dangerous thing I’ve ever seen.
SARS-CoV-2 did not come from a lab. There is no evidence pointing to laboratory origins. There’s been a massive disinformation campaign to convince the public otherwise. It’s scary how effective that campaign has been.
In case y'all don't know the back story, in May, CARB voted to give $2B/year in carbon allowances to oil companies that they would normally have to pay for. And yes, it is the same oil companies that are raking in billions of extra profits because of high oil prices.

Can’t get this story out of my head. The delays aren’t unusual, the cost comes out at $100k per unit or ~$400/month rent for those non-market homes. Same issues come up for market housing, developers could keep building at lower rents if munis did not impose those delays and uncertainty.

My neighbor in Boulder knocked on every door on our floor and asked if she could drop off your ballot for you. She would even send you a picture of your ballot going into the ballot box. She was a retired special ed teacher and taught the value of voting for people who are unable to vote
