I work all day, and get half-drunk at night
Despite the fact you carry your phone around with you and use it all the time, isn't it weird that you never see it in your dreams?
Humous pots say throw away after two days since opening but how deadly can a chick pea really be? Is this just propaganda from Big Dip?
This is my favourite “brown” dish. Sure, there’s a bit of work involved but absolutely worth it. youtu.be/8DCw_eR_iPA?...

Today’s FT Mag celebrates the deep autumnal joys of brown foods, which are the best foods. I was dispatched to find the best brown dish. Have a link good for 300 paywall-busting free reads. When they’re gone they’re gone. Or pick up a print copy of @ftweekend.com as.ft.com/r/99e584fc-8...
Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Journey to the Surface of the Earth. Which one are you?
Temu delivered. Me : What have you got there? It looks like a broken bicycle pump with the spring all pulled out and bent over. T: It’s a flexible tap.
At the co-op at lunch and saw two new crisp products with the following flavours Desert Salt Somerset Cheese and Shallots. I think we need to reign this shit in.
REISSUE OF THE WEEK: ‘Bossanova (2026 Remaster)’ by Pixies Released in 1990 during a brittle and bruised period for the quartet, the Pixies began experimenting with sci-fi inspired lyricism, surf rock, surreal psychedelia, 50s kitsch, and breezy soft rock. www.normanrecords.com/features/bes...

6 Things I was frightened of as a child: 1. The Piltdown Man track on Tubular Bells 2. Noddy Holders voice. 3. Nuclear Armageddon 4. Long, dark hallways with push in light switches that turned the lights off after 20s 5. The Black Panther (UK serial killer) 6. The Tomorrow People
Things I was frightened of as a child: 1. Not getting to the bottom of the stairs before the loo finished flushing. 2. Falling into a thorn bush and being blinded. 3. The granny with all the pills on her dresser who made me margarine sandwiches. 4. The dark country lane where Mrs Kelly lived.
Why does my hay fever decide to attack me at 4 feckin’ AM. Anyone else have this? Can’t get back to sleep.
Why use the term “food pipe” like the article is written for nursery school? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Very hot drinks may damage the food pipe and increase cancer risk
Steaming hot liquid can damage the cell lining on the way down to the stomach, experts say.

I’m beyond excited (and slightly terrified) to announce that my one-man show, SQUID – A Victim Impact Statement, will premiere at the Arcola Theatre, London, 11–14 November. For 30 years, I documented a story I couldn’t remember. SQUID is what happened when I finally did.
A murmuration of starlings above Sardinia, Italy. One of my favorite natural phenomena.
Blindfolded, I stumbled my way to the post. I could smell the cordite from the previous “purification”. My hands where bound behind my back and the order to aim was given. Then the crowd began the chant I had heard all week, each time ending with a volley of rifle fire. “Boring! Boring! Boring!”
