Fun beaver/fish interaction: When I approached this pond, I startled brown trout preparing to spawn below it (beavs filter sediment & keep downstream substrate clean). The fish dashed to the dam & hid in its base. Beavers created perfect spawning grounds: pristine gravel adjacent to dense cover! 🤯🦫🐟

Trump has no right to destroy any part of the White House. He doesn't own it. It is THE PEOPLE'S HOUSE. He is only a temporary tenant whether he wants to believe it or not. Why did they allow this destruction. The Rose Garden has already been turned in to an outdoor speakeasy.

A year ago we spied the first Western fence lizard in our backyard. It was so tiny, and mainly camped out in a slim crevice between two old steps. We've seen it a dozen times over the year, and then nothing for about two months. But here today: full-grown and thankfully hard to see!
