You could grow a spine and do your damn jobs.
Cornyn: "There's nothing we could do to rein in the president"
If your immediate response to this isn't "fuck you, old man," you should just leave journalism entirely.
Trump says Jeanine Pirro "choked" and then snaps at a reporter who asks if her job is safe: "Don't ever talk again"
This doesn't get rid of the settlement that establishes the fund. That would require Donald Trump's sign-on, and he made it clear he wants the fund. All this does is rescind the DOJ's order establishing the fund. Trump can still go to court and demand the fund because the settlement remains.
NEWS: Todd Blanche says he is rescinding his May 18 order establishing the “anti-weaponization fund”
Trump says Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Iran convinced him to call off a planned attack on Iran, adding: “I think there’s a deal.” Reminder: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar all have business ties to the Trump family. Nothing about this is normal.

So late to this but I wonder how many nails the White House Correspondents' Association's coffin needs (from: www.readtpa.com/p/dinner-the...)
There are anti-anxiety meds. He needs them, stat!
Sen. John Kennedy on Trump's blatant reflecting pool lies: "The president says it was caused by vandals. I don't know if he really believes that or it's part of his political messaging or he's just thinking out loud ... he grows anxious when he has an unexpressed thought."
I don’t care whether this actually happened or not. I want it to be true.
Jeanne Gibson, beloved “Rosie the Riveter,” passed away on July 29, 2026 at 100. Gibson became a welder at Todd Pacific Shipyards in Seattle, helping build destroyers for the Allied war effort during WWII. Gibson helped pave the way for millions of women who stepped into critical wartime roles.
France calls out the U.S. at a UN meeting: “The US used to be a beacon of human rights. Not anymore. Today, it stands alongside North Korea, Nicaragua, Mali and Russia. Isolated. And the world no longer listens to it.” U.S. representatives stormed out of the meeting. Well said France! 👏🏼🇫🇷👏🏼
@lynneguist.bsky.social have you covered this?
I was talking about this very topic¹ only a few hours ago! In the UK, and those using Commonwealth English, the term "to table" means "to bring up for debate", because of the Parliamentary procedure of "laying before the house": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laying_... 1/
to lose one representative may be misfortune, to lose two seems like carelessness, to lose three what the fuck are you doing

Destroying books in order to feed them into slop machines is still plagiarism, whatever corrupt/incompetent judges might say. And when they are destroying rare books, they are destroying human knowledge. We know that "AI" products aren't repositories of information, much less intelligent. 1/

I am very torn, because "reward the behavior you want to see" is sometimes the only way you get listened to. But I want to see SOME evidence of actual change before I go "welp time to resume business as usual yay!" I can live without new clothes. My loved ones can't live without human rights.
Narrator voice: They are not talking to us about making a deal.
Trump on Iran: "Right now they're talking to us about making a deal" 🙃

Britannica is using AI, the OED is offering AI assistance on its website. Wikipedia remains one of the very few reliable sources to resist AI completely and I love it. This is why I have decided to donate to it monthly.

"Do the thing you can do instead of beating yourself up over not doing the thing you're not doing" is honestly life-changing, even life-saving, advice.
This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.

Almost everything he sells is made with forced labor. That’s why the so-called rationale for the tariffs is bs.
He cares so much that in 2014 CNN obtained documents showing Trump shirts were made in a Honduran factory, where workers earned about $1.30 an hour. The factory’s contract reportedly ended in 2015, because even that wage was too high. Between he and Ivanka one could write a book on forced labor.
Gallego on the DOD lowering number of troop deaths: “The only reason they're doing this is so the president can have this arbitrary number…And you have these very small men…who are more willing to fudge reality than actually deal with the reality they got us into a stupid war.”
