The hopium is wild to see. No, Trump isn't "fucked." He is in a moment many fascists were, which is to say losing popularity once in power. But that is why authoritarians take power: so no one can take it from them. Popularity doesn't matter as much when you're in complete control.

I think Silicon Valley has a lot to learn from Waymo. Other firms tried the move-fast-break-things approach to AVs, and disappeared. Waymo's slow, steady, conservative approach is novel in Silicon Valley, but the way that most big, hard things have gotten done historically. Important lesson for SV.
