Play is sacred. I’m a TTRPG designer interested in making games that evoke hope during dark times. I approach the gaming table with reverence and my craft with devotion.

Every time I read a Becky Chambers book I’m struck by the notion that it could be the foundation for a new religion that would be far better than any of the ones we’ve had so far.

I live in a bit of a culture desert so it’s a drive and a half to get to a local (ha.) game store that actually stocks RPGs and not just TCG cards. It’s a rare treat to visit one. But I’ll be at 401 Games on Saturday. Gonna buy something. We’ll see what.

A lot of great progress on Scamper’s combat, recovery, base-building, and economy rules last night. Worked until midnight then was too wired to sleep until 1:00. On the other hand, had to toss nearly everything in the fridge this morning because I left it open all night. Win some, lose some.

My family left me at home for the afternoon to go swimming at my brother-in-law’s. There was no discussion about adopting a kitten. And yet, I am told an application is being made.

TTRPG community, I could use your help sharing my newest project! 🎲 I'm an indie designer from Mexico and I just released a lo-fi horror RPG where you physically stack a dice tower to uncover clues. When gravity takes over and the tower falls, the horror begins. Link below! ⬇️

Today in the Sanguine Weald: • A drug-addled chaos rogue tossed void-paste into a tear in reality, imploding it • A noble paladin kicked a treacherous (and vampiric) lord into a pool of boiling, neon-blue tree sap • A faithful cleric immolated a scheming void-witch with divine light
