What a time to be an indie gamer. Big, audacious, fully developed grown-up games. I love them. I estimate @olddog.games 's Blades '68 is about 0.45 Stonetops. That's gonna be a couple long weekends of reading.
Didn't realize the Blades '68 map add-on was going to be an actual literal roadmap like the kind your parents kept in the glove compartment. Laughing my ass off.
It's so perty, and chonky. The PDF doesn't do it justice.
First game of Deathmatch Island using the power of Google Sheets was a success! (All credit to the game itself and the players, for sure, but I was glad to see the VTT concept worked fairly well, with some good suggestions from the players.) @olddog.games

So, part of the joy of publishing is that I got the complete Blades 68 deluxe package this week. It is, soup to nuts, amazing and gorgeous, full of small, lovely details that I could geek out about at length. But the thing that is really, really moving my needle is the *map*.

Oh boy, am I excited about @evilhat.bsky.social and @olddog.games’s Blades ‘68. The map is so pretty. Thanks for including it in vector so we can print it big! Staples’ engineering prints + Lakeshore Learning’s bulk lamination = $11 for a 24x36” map of our favorite City of Scoundrels.
Ran my first session of Deathwatch Island by @olddog.games / @evilhat.bsky.social last night. It went exceptionally well. We did character creation and three nodes and they're now the proud owners of an organism in a jar. They've named it 'Steve'. Then I got in to my Blades '68 content dropping.
Blades 68 from @evilhat.bsky.social and @olddog.games has hit the production stage and I'm excited to get the final books. I took a look at the text complete PDF recently in a Skim Read article.
