With the FaH we've moved on from Disney princesses to Ghibli films (thank goodness). Ponyo was lovely, Spirited Away a bit too scary, Kiki's Delivery Service the best of the "cool magic girl" lot, Arrietty flimsy and corny, with pretty terrible characters.

Even to this day I have a Complciated relationship with plotting, but I'm happy to report I'm very happy with how the #ProjectShamus general storyline is shaping up.

Things you realize when you have a 4 year old #976: Sleeping Beauty (1959) is one of the very best Disney movies in terms of art direction. The animation is fine but the backgrounds are 😘👌🏼. Obviously inspired on German Gothic art, an absolute delight. (The plot is kinda Not Very Feminist, tho 😔)
