I love that they kept this scene in the game; I always thought it was cool and mysterious. Later I read somewhere that it was also a reference to the film "Boxer" by Shûji Terayama.

I have always liked the sparkling beach effect in Buggy Boy. It’s made by the same company as TX-1 so hopefully we get this on Arcade Archives I was unable to capture this with video compression but the sparkles seem randomized every few frames.
