Revenue sharing is so much more transformative and comprehensive than 75% (80%? 95%) of baseball fans understand, yet the owners don’t take any flack for it. The Marlins got a $70m revenue sharing check last year, on top of their $70m national share!! Have your cake, eat it too!
Honestly, the Blue Jays may very well be the worst offender in all of MLB. All indications are SN pays peanuts for the Jays/MLB rights, letting them keep the proceeds off the Jays books, and thus not being cost shared
The Los Angeles Dodgers, with a favorable revenue sharing television agreement, could save $55 million in 2026. awfulannouncing.com/mlb/dodgers-...
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers opened the Bonnet Carré Spillway twice for a total of 123 days. The spillway dumped over 1.35 trillion cubic feet of polluted freshwater into the Mississippi Sound. The Mississippi Sound may become "a dead sea" due to future spillway openings.
Mississippi Sound ‘Will Be a Dead Sea’ Soon Due to Spillway Openings, Coalition Warns
Advocates warn that the Mississippi Sound will be “a dead sea within a generation” without corrective action.

Christina Bohannan lost by 800 votes last time. 800. Meanwhile her dad’s own insurance company canceled him the moment he got sick, and Washington shrugged. This time we close that gap, we flip IA-01, and we do it for every family insurance companies threw away. #BlueWaveIn90Days #USDemocracy

An hour drive just to see a doctor. That’s what “it won’t affect you” actually looks like in IA-03 right now. Sarah Trone Garriott saw through the lie from day one and she’s not letting anyone forget it. This is exactly why we show up and vote. #BlueWaveIn90Days #USDemocracy
"And while the clear glowing animals may seem alien, they may actually be more prevalent than your average land-dwelling animal, including humans. “Some of them probably outnumber us. They’re pretty obscure, but they’re so abundant because the ocean is so vast.” www.sfgate.com/bayarea/arti...

#bluesky, could we start a thread of bad headlines, starting with this one, but to immediately be taken over by the #NYT.
And then what happened?
As predicted, Susan Collins comes out against Blanche. Don’t make too much of it. The R leadership okayed it b/c they have a vote to lose and b/c Collins in a tight race in Maine, in which Ds have won last several presidential elections. But they can’t lose another. Did he blackmail the bankers? "Lutnick described Epstein as the "greatest blackmailer ever" and suggested he had used compromising videos of prominent men to get a 2008 sweetheart deal in Florida amid a child prostitution investigation." www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...
Trump's commerce secretary calls Jeffrey Epstein the 'greatest blackmailer'
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told an interviewer he found Jeffrey Epstein, his next-door neighbor, "gross" when they first met in 2005.

Top JPMorgan Chase execs coached Epstein on how to withdraw cash through shell companies instead of his personal accounts, helping him conceal information from compliance personnel and government regulators.
It’s not just trump but our entire financial, institutional, and business elite that were at best complicit, but more often than not, active participants.
Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:
Here’s the key takeaway from our report: Epstein couldn’t have carried out his trafficking and criminal activity without the help of the highest ranking employees and executives at the most powerful banks in the world. Wall Street is complicit in Epstein’s crimes from top to bottom.
Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase likely violated federal anti-money laundering laws by failing to properly screen and report payments from Leon Black to Jeffrey Epstein, and underreporting Epstein’s suspicious activity to the Treasury Department.

Can't believe this will endear novice coach Murray to #BostonCollege fans/listeners when they hear about it. Sounds like a super insecure dude.
this is one of those things that seems true but actually is not. the angels are a fictional baseball team that was featured in the films The Naked Gun (1988), Talent for the Game (1991) and, of course, Angels in the Outfield (1994)
trade deadline is the only day of the season you need to remember the los angeles angels are a real baseball team that somehow plays 162 games a season just like everyone else
This is not rocket science Vote for the candidates that want to clean this up The problem is never going away until you do Vote for the ones who will get rid of Citizens United
This is the precise, brilliant assessment of the "baseball team" known as the "Los Angeles" Angels. The sole cause of this pathetic situation is Arte Moreno Transaction Analysis: The Angels of Hatred Ginny Searle July 30, 2026 www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article...

I think the Angels should move from Anaheim to Riverside. In fact, even better, I think the residents of the Riverside-San Bernardino metro should do a hostile takeover & buy the organization out. Do a Green Bay Packers kind of thing. This would solve a lot of problems.
It's a systemic problem. MLB has created a structure that has decoupled winning from maximizing income. You can be an organization like the Pirates, which wins 75 games a year with a low-cost lineup that makes the team money. Sounds like that's what the Orioles want to be.
