This is very interesting - I've seen a lot of places (I remember Roti for example) going cash-free, but it always struck me as odd that I could walk into a place with money and get turned away. Especially problematic for the unbanked!

I am definitely no farmer, but I actually don't think we have enough land to feed the hundreds of thousands of people living in food deserts, much less "right now". But incentivizing grocery stores to open (Wilson's other suggestion) or, hear me out... a publicly owned grocery store?

Commentary: While infrastructure like grocery stores takes time, Chicago has the ability to scale and respond right now with urban agriculture.
