admittedly i tend to feel a pang of frustration when a term that is meant to communicate an otherwise difficult to communicate or misunderstood experience gets watered down to the point of becoming toothless. like "intrusive thoughts" becoming "lol what if i dyed my hair at 2 AM"

also I wanted to make clear that when I say warm-ups, I mean something like this, NOT like, an actual sketch or anything of value. Your actual muscles get stiff and it just takes drawing some random shapes for 5 minutes to warm them up. Trust me, it helps a lot!!!

Dear artists, this is a PSA! If you haven't drawn for a week or longer, definitely DO NOT skip your warmups, or you will spend an hour tearing your hair out wondering why everything looks like shit! Ask me how I know!!!

I agree with this, I see it in students, who are terrified of being critical of texts, because they "don't want to be mean" which can lead to them trying to give the benefit of the doubt to some truly awful historical authors, ideas and texts
