I get that the role fell out of sync with the time in the late 2000s, but the absolutely desolate space of web journalism has circled back around to working for the character. A photojournalist getting paid pennies by digital outlets while hounding them all for the money they contractually owe him?

Spider-Man hasn't fully left the Daily Bugle behind because J. Jonah Jameson is one of the all-time support cast members, but Peter Parker has been removed from being a photojournalist for so long that I do really miss it as a flavor.

I think generally people forget that the first Spider-Man movie was also the first $100 million plus opening weekend and how insane that was at the time. People -- controversial opinion -- like Spider-Man.

I think my most genuinely unpopular take is that a widely held and genuine consumer preference for cheaper, lower-quality goods, not private equity, is driving the decline in quality of consumer goods like clothing and housewares.
