One of the reasons it's so important to actually be on the right side of things and to have "purity" tests is because people are fucking angry and if the wrong person comes along, like Platner, and tells people what they want to hear, they might side with them despite them being actual monsters!

⚡️ Joe Kent says he, Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie are hoping to build a new political movement or third party built around opposition to U.S. wars, AIPAC, and corporate money, with the initial goal of fielding a candidate for the 2028 presidential campaign.

In an interview with Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, Kent said the group met at Carlson’s home in Maine after concluding that both major parties repeatedly deliver “another war in the Middle East” regardless of how Americans vote.

Kent said they may follow the 2028 presidential run with down-ballot races, and acknowledged ballot-access hurdles may force them to run an insurgent candidate through an existing party instead.

“We don’t want Israel dictating our foreign policy. We don’t want any more foreign wars. We don’t want to have to run a massive empire,” he said.

Kent said the group has urged Carlson to run but he has repeatedly declined. They will seek to finance the effort through grassroots donations rather than corporate PACs. “The second you start taking the corporate PAC money… you’re not truly in charge anyways.”

On JD Vance, Kent said he still personally likes him but called him “a captive of the two-party system” who will struggle to ask voters to trust him in 2028 after defending Trump’s war.

this is great, but i would not go as far as to say it’s better than Z lol we forget how sharp he was during the primary, especially the debates. “The name is Mamdani. M-A-M-D-A-N-I. You should learn how to say it.” but, yeah, AES 2032 if 2028 does not work out for us.

I don't think I can remember a US politician with better messaging than this man. Ever. And that includes Mamdani. Run him for President.

In June I asked El-Sayed about Rs potentially using his whole name (or the fact that his brother is named Osama) against him.

His answer:

“I hope that they will. Yeah, my name is Abdul. I’ll say the whole thing: Abdulrahman Muhammad El-Sayed, and I want you to have health care, because you know what? Chances are, you probably had a doctor you trust with a name like mine.”

ive been putting up with some version of this talking point for my entire life. barely even notice it anymore. imagine if i said this about jews though. there will never be peace in the middle east until jews shed their genetic propensity for violence against mohammedeans. imagine anyone saying that
