If youre a beginner please stop caring about developing an artstyle early on. It will develop itself over time. Draw in a thousand different ways. Learn a thousand different things. Let your art absorb these things, mutate and become its own. Do not force consistency.

I tell people at cons that to stick with drawing or any kind of art, you need two things: 1) have so much fun you can’t stop 2) train yourself to have a high frustration tolerance If you have 1 and not 2, you won’t improve. If you have 2 and not 1, it’s a miserable chore. Then I show them this:
