Finally saw The Odyssey. There was a bunch of stuff I really liked, but also some stuff I just really didn’t vibe with. Overall enjoyable. Honestly my biggest gripes, are just stuff that I personally tend to not enjoy with Nolan Films.

I feel like the use of “Isn’t She Lovely?” in the Digital Circus finale is less about praising the Jax we see in the show (who I would hardly call lovely), and more a way to mourn the healthy Jax who could have been if she ended up like Lee and didn’t succumb to her worst vices.

Back in 2014 I was working in a grocery store, and I was friends with one of the bakers in the store’s bakery department. One day she told me about how she used to be a video game developer, and I remember wondering what she was doing there in that bakery. I think about her a lot nowadays.
Last month I recorded for a radio commercial and the producer was in the studio with me. I nailed the read in a single go and in the background of the raw recording you hear the producer go “you One-Take motherfucker…” And yes I did get that isolated and sent to me.
Supergirl was really good, I had such a good time watching it. A+.
The Movie review guy at work (who famously hated the recent Superman movie) came into my office yesterday to tell me he hated Supergirl. I told him even though I haven’t had a chance to see it yet, based on his taste and media literacy levels the movie must be amazing. Trying to see it soon.
Go big, you can always pull back if asked but your first attempt should be big. Full send it.

This really hurts to see…Everything she brought to Lilo, how her kindness was contagious and how she resonated with all us weird kids. I just hope that in adulthood, she herself was never left behind, and that she never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, Daveigh Chase.😢

Between training a new puppy, and filling in for a department head at work while he’s on vacation, I’m probably in the most stressed periods I’ve ever been in my life right now.
If the game can’t exist without genAI, then the game doesn’t deserve to exist.
Apropos of nothing, the #AmongUsShow was written and storyboarded by hand, backgrounds were painted by hand, it was animated by hand, and it was voice acted.. by... hand? We used digital tools to do these things, but it all came from a human hand moving around due to a human brain making decisions.

I think we should make it illegal to report election results until the polls have been closed for one week. So there's Election Day, and then there's Election Results Day, and all the conspiracy theorists can wait a little bit and then find something to whine about.
People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.
