Came straight here after reading that HWA newsletter and you guys did not disappoint
I am opposed to "AI" writing, and I am opposed to the HWA. But I repeat myself.
Horror "writers" inventing fun new ways to be quislings.

I guess they figured why not alienate Indigenous horror writers while they’re at it?
I wonder sometimes what it must feel like to be deeply embedded in the HWA. Because from the outside, it generally appears as though the real mission statement of the organization is about sheltering mediocrity, and I’d assume at times an awareness of that must insist itself, however unbidden.
“There’s no ethical consumption under capitalism” wasn’t meant to be a warm blanket to wrap themselves in that these grifters always treat it as.
I heard that the HWA, that rapscallion of an organization, is using racist parallels to shill AI slop to writers while calling us “cowards” in their latest newsletter because we…*checks notes* don’t want to use AI. Oh HWA, you forget - cowards bend the knee - and I only see you on the floor.
To the surprise of no one, the hwa included some very out of touch, incredibly ignorant, pro-ai shit in their newsletter. Fuck ai. Fuck the hwa. Fuck em all.

It is worth noting that the writer of that HWA newsletter telling people to embrace AI, has an AI based coaching app they are selling
