Our old man kitty died soon after from kidney failure. Our older girl kitty has daily meds she needs for her tummy and skin, and our monthly check just doesn't stretch.

While I understand articles like this are sympathetic to trans athletes, I still bristle at the way liberals argue for trans inclusion - describing hrt as “chemical castration” instead of liberatory, or arguing for trans women inclusion because HRT makes us weaker like (implicit “real”) women.

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.
