"While Iran has fought the US to an effective military stalemate, it has defeated the US strategically. Trump wants the war to end + plenty of foreign heads of state in his ear want it to end even more than he does. "Iran wants the war to end too, but has the leverage to end it on favorable terms."

Trump Needs to Choose How to Lose the Iran War

No matter how Trump tries to spin the war, Iran has defeated the U.S. strategically — and it’s time accept that and find the least bad way out.

I meant to post this last night but if you’re mad about any of the primary results you got 24 hours to bleed, try not to say anything you’ll regret in 48, and then it’s Blue No Matter Who.

“Why are people paying 26-year-old sticker prices for minimally-connected supersedans? Because significant portions of the product landscape resemble a fucking box of crackerjacks, is why. These are cars. They are meant for driving.

Before the pandemic, it was easy to buy correct parts for Your old BMW without buying them from BMW; Lemforder, etc made those parts in Germany/Hungary. It’s all third world now. The parts are inferior and materials are sub par. Same for Toyota; even Denso parts have gotten…bad.

This theory doesn’t survive contact with car parts. I *always* buy the best stuff (OEM or equivalent because I want it to last for as long as humanly possible) and it has gotten noticeably shittier over the past ten years to the point new stuff is pretty regularly defective

I’m at a private event today, helping the band. There’s a hired photographer here. When you go to events like this, please sit the fuck down or at least stay cognizant of the person HIRED to take photos. You are -never- going to watch that 12-second video again, but you just ruined a shot.

Senior GOP staffer: "Everyone knows what the problem is: [we] have spent the last decade prioritizing blind ideological loyalty instead of competence or intelligence... We have a generation of rabid, incompetent idiots.”

I’m technically not finished with this job, but the car is on the ground and everything is torqued and double checked. With new differential carrier bushings, as well as new rubber throughout the rear suspension (front is a year old) and new shocks all around, the car literally feels new. 204,456.
