The Heritage Foundation asserts that women never needed sports in the first place. To prove that Title IX has become a tool of “feminist social engineering.” To demonstrate that women don’t need sports and that “clubs, intramurals, and exercise classes” is enough. open.substack.com/pub/jesspipe...

And they'll take away women's sports...

Congratulations to @abdulelsayed.bsky.social on a well-deserved, hard-fought victory. Your campaign inspired so many of us. Voters are ready for leaders who will lower costs for working families, fight for Medicare for All, and put people first!
Money out of politics. Money in your pocket. Medicare for All. Michigan... We won. I am so proud to be your Democratic nominee for US Senate. Let's win in November.
Don’t forget, this isn’t the only problem with him. Ghislaine Maxwell Classified documents Business/election fraud (Stormy Daniels) He has his hands in all the pies. He’s crooked and corrupt and he lies to America on behalf of Trump. He’s disqualified himself by his own behavior. Rs are corrupt af.
Blanche’s nomination as attorney general will move to a full Senate vote, despite critics who argue he didn’t sufficiently kill Trump’s $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund.
Judge Mehta's J6 Requiem "That book is now closed. Today’s epilogue diminishes the gravity of that day, denigrates the work of the prosecutors and ... officers who secured these convictions, and excuses criminal acts that caused a centuries-long pillar of our democracy ... to buckle."
Trump endorsed both Ashley Moody and James Uthmeier in advance of the August 18 primary yesterday. Both are implicated in the suspected theft of $10M in Medicaid payments to use for political purposes--basically what Trump is trying to frame Tim Walz for. www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/f...
Exactly. SCOTUS greenlit prosecutorial abuse.
The Supreme Court invited exactly this when it held that the president's attempt to conduct "sham" "investigations" was a core executive power immune from all regulation, including criminal prosecution, in Trump v. United States.
Todd Blanche‘s confirmation vote may be off for this morning, but he still has an obligation to produce documents from the Epstein files today.
Judge Sullivan has given acting AG Todd Blanche 5 days to produce unredacted versions of some Epstein Files documents & proof that the reasons given for making the redactions were true. Here’s what’s significant about that: joycevance.substack.com/p/an-importa...

FYI: Blanche rescinded the ORDER establishing the slush fund, not the underlying “settlement.” The settlement says any changes must be agreed to by ALL parties, not just Todd. This “rescission” isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
BREAKING: Todd Blanche has released what he calls a rescission of the slush fund (left). The last lawsuit he mentions is mine (Gill v DOJ). This doesn't change the fact that the "settlement" setting up the fund is still in effect. On the right, Blanche is LEAVING IN PLACE Trump's tax immunity.

Guys, the best weapons to protect your neighbors from ICE are NOT GUNS They are CAMERAS, WHISTLES, and a well-organized RAPID RESPONSE AND NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH SYSTEM. ICE is better-armed than you'll ever be. But they like to rely on secrecy, and you can make it much harder for them to be secret.
New in PN: The new "science golden age" looks suspiciously like a grift "It’s impossible not to wonder whether part of Trump’s loathing for universities is that there's no way for him to corrupt the process and make money off it in the same way he can by giving billions to Silicon Valley types."
The new "science golden age" looks suspiciously like a grift
Trump wants to run scientific research like his family business.

Sad that Senators develop a backbone only after losing the primary, but better that wisdom come late than not at all. While Blanche should not be confirmed at all, short of that, at least Cornyn is demanding a halt to Trump‘s hundred million dollar gift from IRS. www.politico.com/live-updates...

Last Friday's WHCD wasn't just a display of Trump's hatred for a free press and the First Amendment that supposedly safeguards it. It was an indictment of legacy news media, writes @jimacosta.bsky.social. "Our system of delivering information to the American people is badly broken." ...

Trump’s lone political gift is getting people mad about things being terrible. And sometimes they are. The sick joke is he’s going to make those things infinitely worse. Corruption is the perfect example. “I’m going to drain the swamp” is appealing until “directly into my bank accounts.”
“Tennessee Republicans claimed Dobbs as a major victory. But they won’t acknowledge the growing body of evidence suggesting abortion bans contribute to poorer maternal health outcomes, delays in miscarriage care, challenges recruiting physicians to TN…”
Tennessee Republican lawmakers failed women with lack of focus on maternal care
We must confront the reality that maternal deaths are more often the result of policy choices, not individual decisions.

Some news outlets, major international ones, cancelled their scheduled interviews with me after they saw the Trump v Barbara vote count. One emailed saying "the danger has passed." Other journos and analysts saw the coming long fight. We're in for many years of slogging w/ birthright citizenship.
BREAKING: The Senate just confirmed Trump loyalist Benjamin Flowers to the 6th Circuit, marking the 50th lifetime confirmation of Trump's second term. Flowers' record is appalling and should have been disqualifying, but now — at 39 years old — he'll serve for decades on a powerful appellate court.
