Perhaps one way to save Canada's CHU Time signal station is to make it a commercial station. Every minute, besides giving the time, an advertisement for clock, watch, tech, transportation, or whatever company. CHU could calibrate devices made or sold by the advertiser.

Saturday afternoon was a good time to activate Creamer's Field Wildlife Refuge (US-9697) for Parks on the Air. George KL1OQ, Bill KL1TQ, and I introduced UAF engineering students Nadia and Wyatt to ham radio operations. They were mentees for a senior project for the school year. Maybe hooked? #pota

by James (KI5OEB) I was invited to attend the Texas Go Kit Challenge this year by one of the organizers of the event. I was in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for a different reason completely, but that afforded me the chance to attend the event at Doubletree Park in Highland Village. The Go Kit Challenge was started so the organizers could gather amateurs who had a common like for portable operations.
