Great work Alberta! Now begin treason charges for those who were trying to sell Alberta to America.

If you’re still using Meta’s social platforms ask yourself why. Zuckerberg has been poisoning society for too long.
Andrea Lam playing Tchaikovsky’s piano concerto no. 1 with the MSO was transcendent.
The Labor government in Australia is hostile to internationals. The graduate visa was $1500 when I got it in 2019 and a student visa was $500. Rather than getting the best applicants, Australia is hell bent on getting the richest ones. It’s disgraceful. From Future Campus:
Happy Canada Day. Here's a photo I took in Canada in May. Williston Reservoir in Northern BC.
It’s not okay that Tom Hanks and Steve Martin haven’t been in a movie together.
I wish people would stop using the phrase “real world impact”! If it’s not real world it’s not impact. I rant about it here. www.linkedin.com/posts/wade-k...

This is the view from my house. Every morning the line up starts around 9:45. Every. Morning. For the Lululemon outlet. Do what you wanna do but I can still find it utterly bizarre.

Not to brag, but I got 100% on the Australian Citizenship exam. I was delighted to see a question about gay marriage on it too. Here’s a picture of the state library just for fun.
Really happy with this shot of the General Post Office (GPO), which is now an H&M. The sun hitting just the tower while leaving the rest of this hulking #Melbourne landmark in shadow.
JK Rowling is now represented by a trans person in the Scottish parliament. Absolutely incredible.
#MothersDay message from harried working mother multitasking in her car to other mothers. 📚❤️
Rarely has bathroom art made me think so much about some of the people I’ve worked with.
I haven’t watched the Star Wars prequels since they came out; I was bad, II was worse, III was great! Revenge of the Sith is the only one I’d watch again. Ewan. So good.
The MSO only deepened my love for this score. Jurassic Park in Concert was spectacular. Bum bum, bum bum.
Hot honey is everywhere right now. From fancy restaurants to Subway. Stop it.
@ronsexsmith.bsky.social didn’t play 90% of the songs I wanted to hear and 100% of the ones I did. Sadly, he didn’t have the stage for a week to get to Judee Sill covers. After all these years it was unexpectedly emotional to hear him here once again, in Australia.
Is it possible that because of the way Poilievre was parachuted in after losing his electorate, he’s burnt too many voters to be the leader of the party? That was rhetorical.
Poilievre says he’s not going anywhere, following double-digit byelection defeats — CTV News
Despite being dealt double-digit defeats in the three federal byelections that handed Prime Minister Mark Carney his majority, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says he has no plans to resign.

In Turkey, an elderly man who earns his living by shining shoes is visited every morning at the same time by a cat that asks to have its fur brushed. The man never turns down this little friend.😍👍💙
Can we just stay on daylight saving time in Australian (or at least the parts that still have to change). It’s so dark in Melbourne too early!
The scale of Australian universities managerial & governance surrender/capture is ASTOUNDING "Twelve of the 14 universities had council members, who had substantive roles as consultants from firms such as Ernst & Young, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, McKinsey, and Boston Consulting Group"
As universities cut courses, spending on consultants and contractors nears $2b
Consultancies have been accused of infiltrating universities and wasting scarce public funds on questionable advice about cutting courses and jobs.

From 1941 to 1952 in the UK, the top rate of income tax was 98%. A luxury goods purchase tax introduced in 1940 later rose to 100%. Result? The share of incomes captured by the richest 0.1% fell from 7% in 1937 to just over 1% in 1975. That's what we need today. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Things are not going to get better as long as oligarchs rule the roost in our democracies | George Monbiot
If we want the kind of fair, functioning state Britain saw post-1945, we need to take on the economic powers that wrecked it, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

More shameful nonsense from the people in charge of the province I lived in for 14 years. If you’re banning books, you’re one of the bad ones.
