(she/her) courage; dear heart

One year ago today I had my thyroid biopsy done, and today I had my labs drawn to find out if my cancer spread or not after surgery. Wild fuckin year!!! I've been really blessed with great medical care, and here's hoping that my thyroid cells got the memo that they are No Longer Wanted.

Happy Friday everyone, as promised, here is my personal theory on this. I think Redwall takes place in our world, after an apocalyptic event of the nuclear variety caused rapid but varied growth of all animals, including humans, leading to our extinction and their mental development. Okay? 🧡

i would love your historical architecture take on the relative size of redwall abbey to its natural surroundings and inhabitants. like are we talking a tiny abbey in a tiny forest or what

at the hospital with my dad (he's fine, just a scheduled procedure) and they have a comfort dog come visit people in the surgical waiting room and he has an official little hospital badge and everything 😭 MARSHALL YOU'RE DOING SUCH A GOOD JOB 😭

i talked a big game about how i havent written in months because my lower dose of thyroid meds have given me terrible brain fog, but today my endocrinologist raised my dose so..... time to come up with a new reason why i'm not writing....

Please know that in the two months that I've owned a boston fleet/aerin frankel tshirt, no one has ever recognized it or known what it was. I had three people recognize it today in the hour I was at Pride lmao. bless this gay ass league.

another year of avoiding the "free mom hugs" booth at my little local pride because I don't feel like breaking down in this park lmao πŸ™ƒ ANYWAYS. still really lovely to go to and get a little boost of People Like Me πŸ₯°

anyone have recommendations for a small one room portable air conditioner? my dumbass older brother booked an airbnb for us all this week with no air conditioning πŸ™ƒ the real feel is 110Β° for the next four days πŸ™ƒ

I was the right age to get the HPV vaccine when it was fairly new, but my mom never let my doc even talk about it because I "wouldn't need that." Anyways. I'll be asking my primary about getting the HPV vaccine at my next physical. Because sometimes as adults we have to parent ourselves.

regular reminder that if you oppose the HPV vaccine for "moral reasons," your "moral reasons" are "I think girls deserve to die of cancer for having sex I disagree with"
