real names would be the end of queer expression in much of the world. queer people in unsafe areas, or closeted ppl, are currently able to openly participate in nascent queerness without fear of being targeted by people irl. this change would eliminate that safety. anonymity is safety.

you can go to a park/library only if you have money for the transportation it takes to get to one, and you're able enough to do so, and if they actually have anything useful/interesting to you. and despite my well known love of reading it is significantly less pleasurable than jerking off.

Libraries are free; you can go and read there, or check out a book and take it to a park. There are benches, community centers, free lectures. The idea that "third spaces" have disappeared is a lie.
