Following the December 2025 break of the Bearspaw South Feeder Main a protection plan included a temporary barrier to ensure the communities of Bowness, Montgomery and Parkdale were protected in the event of another break. It is now safe to remove that barrier! 🎉

Looks like the fun police have struck again in Alberta, this time targeting people trying to enjoy a pint. By raising the minimum price of a beer from $3.20 to $5 (a 60% increase) the provincial government will negatively affect thousands of workers and create additional problems.
This should not come as a surprise to Penny Lane. Their representative were present at the @ward7calgary.bsky.social town hall meeting on March 9 where those affected neighbours expressed concern and provided feedback that the city has taken into consideration.
