Fancy plated meal for dinner tonight because sometimes I need to remember where I came from. Pommes rosti (a big fancy potato pancake) with garlic and scallions, honey braised carrots, garlic honey sous vide pork loin, chive crema, sesame honey mustard.

Just walked out of a chain sandwich shop because they told me it was a 25 minute wait while they made an order of 22 subs. Any cook worth their pay knows you do the quick one-top before you tackle the big party that came in a few minutes earlier. That big party won’t notice and the singleton will.

I hate to be that guy, but this is the five-alarm fire, and every elected Democrat and frankly, every Washington reporter should be ringing the bell. If it can happen to him, it can happen to anyone. Nobody with a voice should give this administration a moment’s peace about it.

NEW: A second filing today from the DOJ tells Judge Xinis that in their view, since Mr. Abrego is in Bukele's custody, she can't order them to do anything further to bring him back since that's not what "facilitate" means. They also say the deal with Bukele is classified and/or a state secret.

Oh, they've been here all along, and what happens is they run into the wall of "don't engage, just block" and then they get frustrated that no one will bother with them. They just mewl "debate me" in sad, abandoned tones, out in the cornfield, all alone.
