Back when I was in school, one of my teachers was current senator Shay Shelnutt. During one class, I had been drawing and he saw it. He walked by, ripped several pages out of my notebook to grab the drawing, wadded up all the paper, and threw it away. 1/2

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

Life achievement, completed a D&D campaign. Crew was a Monk, Cleric, Bard, and Rogue. It took us two irl years to kill a corrupted god of love. And… we all made it to the end credits.

We have the means to provide everyone with housing, healthcare, childcare and basic income. Suffering is a policy choice. Those in power would rather hoard the wealth than see everyone equally provided for. If everyone had their basic needs met, the world would change.

A lot of people don’t realize the dust bowl wasn’t a natural phenomenon. It happened when agrobusiness interests dramatically transformed the plains without regard for drought, and created vicious dust storms that choked whole families to death. That’s what I think of when I read about data centers.

Finally got this tattoo thanks to my darling wife. I’ve always liked Kain Highwind as a character but as I’ve gotten older and revisited FF4 and played The After Years, I can identify with him in some ways. Being told you’re doing right when you’re clearly not. Hating for no reason. 1/2

If I had a nickel for every time my SCP Field Codes were used in a video game and I only found out about it by someone tagging me on a social media under a post, I'd have two nickels. Which granted isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice now.

I have been without full time employment for 166 days. I have applied to at least that many jobs in that time. I’ve had four interviews [I’m not counting the insurance scam jobs]. No new job.
