I had the pleasure of being the photographer for Cleveland GiveCamp 2026. Lots of volunteer IT work was done for area non-profs by crazy-smart volunteers & dedicated support staff. Only one 1 photo was taken of me - from behind - while I was shooting. Links to GiveCamp & the photos in [More]

This is the crew of volunteers who made Cleveland GiveCamp 2026 happen! Note that the blank computers screens represent people who attended and programmed remotely. Someone is working on inserting screenshots of the remote folks for the final version.Jonathan Knapp, GiveCamp Leader took this picture while giving me horns as I shoot a group photo of some of theGive Camp volunteers. I think this is the only official shot of me and I generally like it that way

The gap between effort & results in publishing is real & it can mess with your head. You can do everything right & still not see it. Some have marketing support & reach, many indie & small press authors don’t. Don't walk away too soon. It takes time & the payoff rarely shows up early. #AuthorSky

I have always loved reading. My fixation with current events has pulled me from books as it did in 2015-20 . But now I am forcing myselt to spend time with books to keep my sanity and it helps my sanity. I chose two GREAT ones for now: Reading "A Discovery of Witches" and listening to "Hail Mary"

Went to used bookstore today. Shelves are looking sparse. Asked the old lady owner if they're closing. They're not closing, she said they just can't keep books in stock because they're flying off the shelves faster than they're coming in.
