Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

I will say. FE really does need to stop with the Avatar selection insert thing. That ship has run its course. Especially after Shez and how well they were received.
For FE FW, I'm so happy they let you swap between the 4 stories at any time, so you can do it all in one playthrough and it general looks like a more refined 3 houses with engages flourishes. I'm not jiving with the whole time skip and avatar protag forced in. But we'll see when it comes out.

I'm at a weird point with Guilty Gear. Where my basic fighting game knowledge has king of stopped working for me and I now need to learn the "specifics" of the system. Like your safe buttons or go to reversals. Especially with a character like Elphet who doesn't have a DP.

I found the ol' Wii again and I just think this thing is a slick looking little box, especially when it's sitting in its stand. Wii U is so sauceless in comparison, no wonder it failed.
It will be worse than this! Most websites will be forced to ask you to send your ID to a third party surveillance service, adding a credit card won't be enough for most. Bluesky asks for your *social security number* if you live in Texas now, due to this shit. Call in, and kill it.

This is the first time I've seen someone with the actual correct interpretation of what is happening here: Sony wants to go full subscriptions service/cloud gaming. They don't want to sell you physical games because they don't want to sell you *games*. They want to sell you a subscription.

Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 5d agoTwitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

Today I saw an ad about how the Win 10 ESU is over and your PC will no longer be secure. Two things: Microsoft made the default ESU (the one you sell your data for) extended by one year. If you used the below, you have nothing to worry about still. If MS keeps extending, we might get the 6yr.

I'm hearing that field skills in xenoblade 2 now just scan the whole party and don't need to be equipped anymore. I'm shocked that was not in the trailer because that's a MASSIVE quality of life improvement! Makes me hopeful even more are in the game we don't know about.
This "one week protest" for Sony is radiating the same energy as Nintendo "boycotts" that cave so quickly that no one will take you seriously. A boycott needs to be indefinite and clear enough that people can follow through and stick to it. Otherwise, you're not sending any message.
I feel like to me, Avatar is a series I'm just, kind of done with. It always feels like its only brought back out when paramount has bad press and projects are always announced YEARS before they come out. I had TLAB and Korra, I'm good.
