This is awesome. Probably the best thing I’ve picked up in ruddy ages. A genuine autographed photograph of Ernő Rubik, creator of the Rubik’s Cube, taken whilst he was out and about in the 80s promoting the Rubik’s Snake. The old school gamer in me absolutely loves this.

Great pick up from my local bookshop yesterday. The Man Who Sold Death by James Munro. I bought it solely for the amazing cover though as it instantly gave me hauntological vibes. Sapphire and Steel (The Shape) anyone? #booksky #themanwhosolddeath #sapphireandsteel #theshape
Beautiful find of the day. Awesome collection of 1960s (I think) medical films all produced by the Rank Organisation. The films, from what I can see, all look amazing i.e., gorgeously retro and kitsch. Also love having the little metal canisters with original Rank logo on them.
I quite genuinely could listen to Carole King’s demos for The Monkees all day long. youtu.be/FtyqPzeso5A?...

Awesome book find this week. I absolutely love the cover on this little anthology. The artist obviously had it in for Hitch with both the noose and the voodoo pins. #booksky #alfredhitchcock #panpaperbacks
Book find of the day. How can I possibly resist reading something with such an amazing back cover blurb like this… #booksky #counterculture
Just a few digital art texture experiments done recently using old books and trees as a basis. Just parking them here till I decide if want to do anything with them.
RIP Alan Rothwell, the laid back, soothing face and voice behind countless soap operas, drama roles, and Scarred For Life favourites Picture Box and Hickory House (and his role as heroin addict Nicholas Black in Brookside was an all-timer)

Pulpy crime pick up from Emsworth’s Magic free book shop Telephone box yesterday. Love the sleazy James Bond inspired cover on this one. Have to admit the title is kind of giving me Alan Partridge vibes too.
I always forget 33 years ago I had a very brief stint in the computer games industry. Believe it or not this is the first time I've ever seen this game being played. Crazy to see it again after so many years or to actually hear the Rick Wakeman soundtrack. Always remember designing those cockpits.

For whom it may concern. (ie- Library music fans) Another recent record fair acquisition. 1971 De Wolfe LP 'Cult & Colour' Cinema intermission music. Time for a choc-ice from Angela the usherette. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxNc...
Tired this morning. Mainly due to waking up in the middle of the night to watch Nine Inch Noise playing at Coachella. Totally worth it though. What an amazing gig!!!
Just what you always wanted! A Sapphire and Steel documentary. youtu.be/yNQi4rag0c4?...

Speaking of numbers stations, a million yrs ago when it was all hauntology everywhere, me and the nipper had ludicrous ambitions to make a 70s HTV kids telly style series called The Number Lady. Got as far as the title sequence youtu.be/U0UcSzCOoSc?...

Only two episodes in and I’m already addicted to Small Prophets.
Picked this beauty up yesterday in a local bookshop. This is the 1st UK edition of Robin Hardy and Anthony Shaffer’s 1979 novelisation of The Wicker Man. This is definitely the best pick up I’ve had in quite a while. Absolutely love the cover on this one. #booksky #folkhorror #thewickerman

Reading the incredible ‘My Favourite Thing Is Monsters’ by Emil Ferris at the moment. It’s a great book with a great storyline & every page is literally filled with illustrations that literally take your breath away. It’s a few years old now but I’ve been absolutely blown away by it. #booksky
