I spend way too much money on board games, so I might as well talk about them on camera. Currently playing One Piece TCG. Anime fan, Star Wars fan, wrestling fan. Into way too many fandoms. I make a ton of references to things. So I hope you enjoy!

For any board game designers are publishers, I am absolutely begging you to please stop using AI to send your spec list over to your manufacturers. It is a bunch of wordy nonsense that doesn’t tell your manufacturer what you specifically need. I’m getting so tired…

I finally got one of my games onto TTS, thanks to Nick Sparkman (Sparkmanic Games). It’s a basic card game with inspirations from Rummy, Jaipur, and Point Salad. Looking for playtesters, so if anyone would like to join; that’d be greatly appreciated! Start playtesting next week!

Since late 2024, I’ve been thinking of a horror board game. I’ve steadily been working on the lore and mechanics of the game. Last month, I got my White Box Sample and I’m excited to try to playtest it at USA trade shows (and maybe Essen SPIEL). Looking forward to a good year personally.

I’m autistic. Not because of Tylenol. Not because of vaccines. Not because of some headline. I’m autistic because that’s how my brain works. Stop treating us like a problem. Start listening to us.

When Paizo unionized, I got a raise amounting to thousands of dollars. I also get a higher cost of living salary increase every year in addition to my seniority salary increase. I have incredible job security. I have advocates if I have grievances. Unionizing is hard and scary but so worth it.

Me finalizing my schedule for GenCon. I ask to a publisher: “By the way, will you be at GenCon? I’d love to meet with you!” Their response: “Yeah, I’m tooootally good at scheduling convention meetings.” Cool but you didn’t answer the question….

I understand. Using a 3rd party to contact content creators to promote your tabletop game is easy. They got a list of people to contact. So I get it. But I’m going to say no every time. Please invest time into talking with content creators and building relationships with them.

I’ve spent too much time today arguing on Facebook about how the board game manufacturing industry doesn’t have child labor and companies actually pay their employees livable wages. Even after I said that I have been to China and experienced it myself firsthand. They are truly brainwashed.

The never ending cycle of the Welcome2Boardom content… -follower “you should do more content specifically talking about your board games”. -puts more effort into how-to-plays, etc. -posts content, gets less than 100 views, AND follower doesn’t see it -I go back to posting what I post… -repeat

I always feel bad for asking favors from friends. Like…hey your friendship is more valuable to me than anything in the world. Please don’t think that I’m exploiting you in any sort of way. I just need your help at the moment. I’m sorry for bothering you…just know I appreciate you…
