I had better luck dragon-hunting around Forest Farm this morning, with my first Migrant hawker & Emerald damselflies of the year, as well as lots of Common darters, Banded & Beautiful demoiselles, Common blue & Azure damsels, & a female Emperor ovipositing. #odonata
Couple of hours at Oxwich this afternoon rewarded with sporadic views of at least 2 Bearded Tits from the hide. Heard rather than seen very much the case. Other interest inc family of Garden Warblers, Reed and Sedge Warblers plus a pair of Swallows nesting above our heads. #birdingWales

Juv Dartford Warbler at regular Gower site, this pm, and this Common Sandpiper was stalking insects at Penrice Pond, a Green Sand also present. At least 3 Goshawk chicks were branching at another Gower site, and Wheatear pair have bred on Worms Head #birdingWales

A busy morning at Kenfig Pool saw a Little Ringed Plover, Common Sandpiper, Common Redshank, Eurasian Bittern, juvenile Yellow Wagtail, immature Marsh Harrier, three Eurasian Teal and two Great White Egrets as well as a Clouded Yellow.

Little Ringed Plover at Kenfig NNR this morning was briefly in and then gone high south east. My first of the year on site with other new migrants in today being three fly through Cattle Egrets and a gorgeous immature Marsh Harrier that spent some time over the west pool reeds.
