I just realized Die Loaded is the first book I’ve seen with the Letterer on the cover. @claytoncowles.bsky.social is doing a great job on Die and deserves that cover placement. There are some letterers out there who for me would be a bigger draw to read about than some writers.

One of the things I find interesting about Obsession is Curry Barker talking about how it isn’t a Monkey Paw situation. It’s not that the One Wish Willow fucks up every wish it’s that Bear’s wish is Fucked Up.

Comparing Wolf from 10th Kingdom to Bear from Obsession is interesting because both are presented with a moment where they are told explicitly that they have hurt the women they claim to love. Wolf learns from this moment. Bear doesn’t. Wolf truly does love Virginia. Bear doesn’t love Nikki.
