Chuck Russell was a gifted genre director. The Mask discovered Cameron Diaz. Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is one the best of the series. The Blob is my favourite. It gleefully subverted expectations by surprisingly killing off unlikely characters. It's practical SFX are also outstanding. R.I.P.
