As others have pointed out before, it's a good thing that Christopher Nolan can get big budgets to do weird, interesting, perhaps kinda risky things that aren't just rehashes of already successful things or entries in big franchises, and the bad thing is that almost nobody else can do this

Finished a book (loved it) discovered there's a planned film adaption (hell yeah) by my all time favourite horror director (HELL YEAH) and then found out it's been dropped by the studio because they wanted to change the ending (UGH) all in the space of 30 minutes. Oh boy.
