looks like it'll mainly affect community outreach programmes at GFT, so severe cutbacks but hopefully nothing that'll lead to closure. but again: nobody else is there to fill this void. without GFT doing this stuff, it won't happen.

Glasgow’s historic art house cinema is set to lose its long-term funding support from the city council. The plug is expected to be pulled on the Glasgow Film Theatre just a few months after it appointed a new chief executive. Officials have recommended the GFT, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, is dropped from the council’s Glasgow Communities Fund. The GFT, which is currently supported through the fund, had been seeking £375,000 over the next three years to support its “cinema for all” initiatives. It has warned that the loss of its main council funding would “inevitably” put the future of family, schools and community activities “at risk” according to The Herald.

The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.
