私は人間社会に紛れる人外のキャラクターが好きですが、そういったキャラは「人間がどれだけ素晴らしいか」ということを示すための舞台装置として使われがちな気がするんですよね。 それはそれで面白く好きなのですが、私はずっと人外の話が読みたかったのです。 私はこの話を「人間と人間の話」ではなく「人外と人間の話」と言いましたが、モンスターのヒカルは人間同士の関係の深さ素晴らしさを表すための媒体では無く、主体性をもった一個人として描いています。 そういった人間として、最近ではプロジェクトヘイルメアリーのオチが特に好きでした。
