Old lady on the internets. She/her. Loves cooking, quilting, reading, and scrolling aimlessly. Black lives still matter.

After he returned from the grocery store he grumbled that he does not know which is worse: when the produce is possibly contaminated, or when the produce is too damn expensive; and so I told him that neither is a sign of a healthy society.

This is truly amazing—RFK Jr openly, gladly, joyfully telling people that under his leadership of the US health system, actual public health expertise, training, & experience is no longer needed. All that’s needed to lead the US health agencies is a past history of being a right wing blogger!

RFK: We're never ever again going to be dominated by public officials who tell us trust the experts

Trans people have been around your whole life. You’ve been sharing bathrooms with them your whole life. They’ve been in your communities your whole life. They’ve even been playing sport your whole life. And you didn’t care *at all* till a few years ago when every right wing org decided you should

YUP. This is why ppl actually acknowledgeable in industries... publishing, gaming, biotech, etc... are literally ignored when they say "That's dumb. That makes no sense, and no one will buy that." re: startups. There is no intent to EVER get something to customers. That's some other guy's problem.

That’s a really important point! One of the big reasons that technology sucks these days is that the public is no longer the real customer. Instead, the true business model is about attracting investors or seeking the whole business to a vastly wealthier competitor.
