Long ago, in the before (kids) times, I would run 10.8 miles on my birthday. I'm working to get my miles back up, with the ludicrous (unless you know me) goal of completing the 2032 Ironman California in 2032. In the meantime, here's a shot of 1.08mi into my 3mi run this morning. This is 49.
Spent my whole Saturday morning disassembling the bunk bed and reassembling it downstairs and shifting the twin bed from downstairs to upstairs, all to the tune of Rammstein and related artists, and now I’d love to do nothing for the rest of the day but that’s not how parenting works. 😭

When a machine carrying out its tasks accidentally behaves unexpectedly due to an unforseen variable entering its operation space, thats not sentience, or acting with intent to "break free of its human masters". Its an error in the safety protocols. Every other framing is industry hype.
Neighbor asked if I wanted a massive bag of plums harvested from her trees, which turned into me and the kids helping harvest, which turned into the kids setting up plum stands on opposing corners, but in a pseudo collaborative fashion. Same price, individual profits.

I’ve switched to writing my WIP by hand. It slows me down enough to naturally add more details into each scene. When typing I tend to quickly knock out what happens as the scene plays in my head. By hand, it takes so much longer to write each sentence that I have time to look around and notice more.
Just learned of Tristram Shandy from the Daniel Handler memoir and it makes me wonder if the town of Tristram from Diablo was named as a reference due to the constant digressions from the main quest that one can find oneself on.

Just realizing the same dystopia/utopia line between Star Wars / Star Trek could be drawn between House of Cards & West Wing. HoC of course made doubly so by its lead actor being actual garbage as well. Real tired of dystopian fiction being used as a template for reality. Wealth&power is a blight
