Cyclists are (part of) the answer to congestion and traffic violence, not the problem. Cars ruin everything I love. They're literally killing us. Sighthounds rule. Save the Galgo. Fender > Gibson. 🍁

As the Democratic primaries swing left (relatively speaking), one wonders if the swing voters may start to be repelled. Would more centrist candidates do better in the real elections? Maybe, but all is lost anyway if a toothless, conciliatory, "moderate" democratic group prevails.

So far, 65,000 people have been displaced from Spokane, Washington. Europe too is burning, while 1000 year floods routinely inundate the nation and world. On some other planet, Trump and his army of Republican idiots continue to insist climate change is a hoax. This is what Novembers are made for.

People we know boycotted the annual office Christmas party for years because the name Christmas didn't appear on the invitation. The party was called the "Holiday Party" or something non-religious. They took as some sort of insult or erosion of polite society. They were never really able to explain.

One pedal driving on EVs should be illegal. When at carpark speeds, your foot should be on the brake. Mashing the murder pedal is the main cause of "unintendended acceleration" crashes. Even without OPD, that "save a life" and "kill them all" use pedals inches apart is a UI fail shared by all cars.

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

My brain is wired different: 1) I cannot understand the logicthat has resulted in the terms "inside lane" & "outside lane". Inside or outside of what? I find the term meaningless. 2) Do mixer taps with red & blue marks on the rotating bit turn so you can see the temp you want, or so it disappears?
