Fun fact: that's not Matt Damon. In the scenes with the Laestrygonians Damon was replaced by a Canadian stunt woman named Devyn Dalton so the Laestrygonians looked that much larger. He also said she had the "greatest arms" he'd ever seen.

Four-winged flying fish (tropical oceans) are remarkable they do not actually fly, but instead glide above the water. Using both their enlarged pectoral and pelvic fins, these fish can reach speeds of 70 km/h and sore up to 400meters in this in a single sustained flight to escape predators.
I have drunk about 20oz of water in the past fifteen minutes so now it's obviously time to go to bed so I can enjoy getting up every 75 minutes to pee.
